How To Cut A Fashion Mullet

Facebook: Facebook.com Formspring: Formspring.me Tumblr: x3Haha.Tumblr.com I’ve gotten requests on pictures for my hair so here they are; I currently have an outgrown fashion mullet but I think I’ll just let it grow. &Yes, I took those pictures on at two different times because my camera ran out of batteries xD. img193.imageshack.us Sorry for the bad lighting. I rarely have time to do videos in the evening anymore — only at night for now so bare with me.[: I finally got to this request! *Cheers* Initially, I decided that I was just going to show you what sections and angles to cut, but I figured that since I have split ends, I might as well demonstrate how I cut my hair by trimming them. I know the results don’t show a major difference, but this video isn’t for me, it’s for YOU. (: I chose not to cut my top layers so short so I can still continue to make hair tutorials. You can go ahead and make yours shorter than mine if you’re really into the look. Just not TOO short or they will stick up in the morning. :[ To complete the look, you should also get side swept bangs if you haven’t already done so. If you want to know more information about the shearing scissors, visit this video (It’s in the sidebar). www.youtube.com This is not the professional way to cut this hairstyle; this is MY way. If you want the perfect-great-looking cut, please go to the salon and don’t attempt to do this yourself. I just don’t want any of you guys to mess up! :) *How do I tell my hairstylist

    There’s a lot of variation on the fashion mullet/scene haircut. Some people like their top layers shorter, choppier, volumized, etc. You just have to pick the specific look that YOU want to get (:
    What you listed sounds great! It’d help more if you bring pictures along too if you can. You can read the description box more for information! ^^;

    It’s great on thick hair. As for length, it’d preferable on long hair. If your hair is around mid-chest, that’s fine… but if shorter, it probably won’t look good with the tail ^^;

    Lol, to think of it, that’s kinda true. I actually don’t comb my hair that often with a brush; I usually use my fingers xD I guess the parting is from practice and doing it so often. It’s like a second nature now xD

    @LatinaChickdee
    If your hair is too wavy or curly, I wouldn’t recommend it.
    If it’s just slightly wavy, I think that’s fine! (:

    Do you need the exact same pair of scissors you have, or can you just use regular ones?

    @AznCrazeexD
    I wouldn’t recommend regular ones; if anything, use a razor but beware of split ends!

    hi x3haha .. my hair is super straight since i got it rebonded.. you think my hair will be ok with an asian mullet? ^__________^

  21. x3Haha September 1, 2011 at 8:02 pm #

    @Yenography
    About 4 inches, I remember.

  22. x3Haha September 1, 2011 at 8:02 pm #

    @MsXchii
    Yeah, I think that’ll be fine, as long as you don’t thin out your bottom layers too much~! (:

  23. estherbunnyful September 2, 2011 at 5:39 pm #

    can I have this hairstyle when my hair is short?

    x

  24. x3Haha September 3, 2011 at 9:30 pm #

    @estherbunnyful
    No, probably not ^^; I think you should wait for your hair to grow to at least near your chest before you get this haircut.
